It's okay to have Jesus and a therapist too!

Fleeting

Contemplating reality.

Time and control,

illusions from inside a world unknown.

Timelines and deadlines fleeting as the wind.

We put ourselves in cages of expectations destined to never win.

Longer lists, longer days, trying to find a better way.

Weighed down by judgement, crushed by our dreams ,

keep pushing forward to be who they need you to be.

Aspiring to be a better version of me.

Building skyscrapers day by day

until the earth quakes and throws it all away.

Lying in the rubble, flying debris,

Is this really all life is meant to be?

The longest journey, our deepest pain.

Nothing we walk through will be in vain.

There’s a greater purpose and a perfect plan,

all designed by the master’s hand.

His goodness and faithfulness reign supreme.

One day everything will be serene.

There will be no more pain,

there will be no more tears.

He will wipe away our greatest fears.

We walk through the darkness with God by our side.

It’s only on him that we can rely.

We fight through a battle that’s already been won,

we rest in His presence and take the days one by one.
